Big Data School, 4-8 March 2019, Athens, Greece

The training school focuses on interdisciplinary graduate education through toplevel, synergistic research within the framework. The aim of this course is to build upon the training provided in the two previous courses of the Big Data Training school series, which have been held in Uppsala, Sweden (2017) and Barcelona, Spain (2018). The 2019 Big Data School will take place at the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) and it will be hosted by the local Genetics Lab at AUA.

The Athens Big Data School will focus on:
1. Systems biology approaches
2. Graph theory & Statistical - high order analysis
3. Spatial and temporal analysis and data mining applications
4. Omics multilevel/multiscale analysis
5. Data fusion for genetic, epigenetic, proteomic, metabolomic and structural information
6. Efficient storage and organization of the multi-parametric data
7. Online analytical processing (OLAP) & adaptive the reasoning processes
8. Data analysis to discover patterns and cross associations
9. Design of new rules to establish the knowledge base to facilitate the reasoning process
10. Autonomous learning (self-sustainable and self-learning algorithms)
11. Multidimensional computer-aided large scale systems analyses
12. Molecular modelling and improved alignments using structural information

The training course has a limited participation of 30 students. The Scientific committee will select 25 applicants with stipends (800€) and 5 that will attend with their own funds. In order to apply you should fill this form and send it by email to: Prof Dimitrios Vlachakis
